Remittances

The amounts deducted from pay must be remitted to the relevant Jamaican authorities. Remittances pull those totals together for each period.

Remittances are for payroll administrators.

What gets remitted

Statutory contributions collected through payroll — PAYE, NIS, NHT, Education Tax, and HEART — are owed to the relevant authorities for each period. Soundial totals both the employee and employer portions from your approved runs.

Generating a remittance

1

Go to Remittances

PayrollRemittances
2

Select the period

Choose the month (or pay period) you're remitting for.
3

Review the totals

Check the breakdown per statutory category against your approved payroll runs for that period.
4

Export the figures

Use the totals to file and pay with the TAJ and other authorities.
Only approved payroll runs contribute to remittance totals — process and approve your runs for the period first.

Third-party beneficiaries

Non-statutory deductions that must be paid out to a third party — such as a pension provider, health plan, or credit union — are tracked as third-party beneficiaries so you can reconcile what to pay each one.

Cross-check your remittance and beneficiary totals against the deductions on the same period's payroll report before paying.
