Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Two-factor authentication adds a second layer of security beyond your password. When enabled, you will be asked to enter a 6-digit code from an authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator or Authy) every time you log in.

Setting up 2FA

1

Open Settings

After logging in, click your profile avatar in the top-right corner, then select Settings.
2

Go to Security

SettingsSecurity
3

Click Set Up under Two-Factor Authentication

A QR code will appear on screen.
4

Scan with your authenticator app

Open Google Authenticator, Authy, or any TOTP-compatible app on your phone and scan the QR code.
5

Enter the 6-digit code to confirm

Type the code shown in your authenticator app to verify the setup is working.

Using 2FA at login

After entering your email and password correctly, Soundial will show a second screen asking for your authentication code.

Verify
If you lose access to your authenticator app, contact your company administrator immediately. They can reset your 2FA from the Users panel.

First-Time Login

When an administrator creates your account, a temporary password is set. On your first login you may see a prompt asking you to change your password before continuing.

1

Sign in with your temporary password

Use the credentials provided to you by your administrator.
2

Enter a new password

Choose a strong password that is at least 8 characters long and includes a mix of letters and numbers.
3

Confirm the new password

Re-enter the same password in the confirmation field.
4

Click Change Password

You will be redirected to your dashboard automatically.
Your new password takes effect immediately. You will use it for all future logins.

Account Lockout

To protect accounts from brute-force attacks, Soundial locks an account after 5 consecutive failed login attempts. The lockout lasts 15 minutes, after which you can try again.

What the lockout screen looks like

You will see a message reading "Your account has been temporarily locked due to too many failed login attempts. Please wait 15 minutes and try again."

Unlocking immediately

A company administrator can unlock your account before the 15 minutes expire. They do this from:

SettingsUsersLocked Users
If you believe your account has been locked by someone else, contact your administrator immediately and consider changing your password once access is restored.

Forgot Password

Soundial does not currently have a self-service password reset link. If you have forgotten your password:

1

Contact your company administrator

Your HR manager or IT administrator has access to the user management panel.
2

Ask them to reset your password

They can set a new temporary password for your account from
SettingsUsers
.
3

Log in with the temporary password

Then follow the First-Time Login steps above to set a new password of your own.
Keep your password stored in a password manager (such as 1Password, Bitwarden, or your browser's built-in password manager) to avoid losing it.
